Club Rallies with TOW

The get-togethers of the club are loosely organized,
but generally follow along these lines:

  • Individual members will host rallies in various locations.  The treasury money is available for hosts to use for reservations, and help with food where needed.  Contact the treasurer well in advance, when possible.

  • Most rallies are advertised in the newsletters, but some are more "spur-of-the-moment" gatherings.  These will be announced via email thru the Yahoo! Groups website.  Paid TOW members may join there at:
    http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/towrv/

  • These rallies can be as large or as small as the hosts decide upon.  The open Quartzsite rally typically has between 50 and 75 rigs.  The June rally can be from 5 to 15 or more.  Individually hosted rallies can be as small as 2 or 3 rigs.

  • Rallies are usually scheduled over a weekend, for the benefit of those who are not retired, but can last much longer (for those who are).  The "rule" generally is: come when you want, socialize as much as you like, leave when you need to/feel like it.

  • Meals together are a great way to socialize, so potlucks are a common occurrence at these gatherings.  Or sometimes the group will go out to eat together.  The potlucks and dinners are optional.  The fun is required.

  • Many of us have pets and bring them with us on our outings.  Most of us enjoy their presence a great deal.  That's because the pets are well-behaved and the pet owners are responsible for their pet's behavior.

  • Above all - we're in this to have fun, not to make money!  But we can't make it happen without the voluntary efforts of our members.  Many thanks to those who make these efforts.  It is a rewarding experience.

Some rallies have activities; some are scheduled around events like the June Rally in the Sierras,

or the Quartzsite Flea Market and RV Show in January;

some rallies are very casual just enjoying the camaraderie of fellow members.

BYOB happy hours, potlucks, RV advice and great friendship are part of all TOW campouts.

We'd love to have you consider becoming a member of TOW.  We're a great bunch of RV nuts.
